Data Retention Schedule

Last updated: July 9, 2026

Effective Date: July 9, 2026

This Data Retention Schedule explains how long At Ease Parent aims to keep different categories of information, to support user trust, privacy compliance, security, account deletion, and app-store readiness.

1. Retention Principles

  • Collect only what is needed
  • Keep data only as long as needed
  • Give users clear deletion rights
  • Delete or de-identify data when no longer needed
  • Retain limited data when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or backup purposes
  • Treat child-related and family care information with additional care
  • Keep app-store disclosures, privacy policy, and actual retention practices aligned

3. Deletion and De-Identification

When data is no longer needed, At Ease Parent will delete it, de-identify it, or aggregate it so it no longer identifies a user, child, household, or caregiver. De-identified or aggregated data may be used to improve product experience, security, analytics, and business operations, provided it cannot reasonably identify a person or household.

4. Backup Handling

Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period (typically 30–90 days) before being removed through routine backup cycles. Backups are not used for active app features unless restoration is necessary for security, disaster recovery, or operational continuity.

5. Retention Review Cadence

At Ease Parent reviews this retention schedule before app launch, before Apple or Google Play submission, when new data fields are added, when paid or store features launch, when new vendors or SDKs are added, and at least annually.
